The shanks are also made of stainless steel. The upper tree is slightly curved outwards to prevent pressure on the cheekbones. The shanks and the mouthpiece are connected by side stainless steel sleeves and are therefore freely movable.

The standard width of the Square Port mouthpiece is 130mm between shanks. These are approximately 20cm measured from the top tree to the bottom tree and have a matt silver finish.
